Modern technologies provide many new facilities to make our life easier. Nowadays many people don’t imagine their lives without mobile phones, DVD players, mp3 players, pagers, computers and the things like that. This fact proves that technology plays a very important role in our society.On the one hand, it’s good that something new constantly appears in the sphere of technology from time to time. It shows that we’re not standing on one and the same point – we are constantly developing. Inventions are aimed to help us to cope with our daily work and make our life easier. 

But the results of scientific and technological developments are not only positive. One of the most burning problems caused by the technological influence on the surroundings is air pollution and global warming.

To my mind, each technological invention combines both something positive and negative. For example, computers bring many benefits: we use them in our studies, at workplaces, at leisure, etc. 

At the same time, the results of recent scientific researches state that computers have a negative influence on our health.

So, we can’t be sure in our future life. Modern technologies are developing and everything may be changed. We don’t know what is going to happen in a year’s time but we can hope that everything will be fine.
